Car bomb kills 10 in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: At least ten people, including a woman and two kids, were killed and over a dozen others injured after an explosive-laden car went off here on Wednesday.

It is feared that the death toll could rise.

The blast took place in front of an old police station in Budhbir town of Peshawar.

Rescue teams rushed to the scene and transferred the dead and injured to government-run hospitals, where an emergency has been declared.

Police cordoned off the area and started investigations.

According to reports, the blast damaged several vehicles, ten shops and buildings.
Sources said that the police station was the main target of the car bomber.
